Plants vs Brainrots (Roblox)

What is Plants vs Brainrots?

  • It is a Roblox experience released in 2025 by Yo Gurt Studio. (Roblox Wiki)

  • The gameplay combines elements from Grow a Garden, Steal a Brainrot, and Plants vs Zombies. (Roblox Wiki)

  • You plant plants to fight off invaders (called “Brainrots”). When you defeat Brainrots, you can collect them and use them to generate income in your base. (Roblox Wiki)

  • The more powerful your plants and Brainrots, the more you can advance, earn, and defend. (Destructoid)

Gameplay Basics

  • You buy seeds from an NPC (George) near your plot. (Destructoid)

  • Plant the seeds in lanes. The plants will attack Brainrots that walk into those lanes. (Destructoid)

  • If your plants defeat a Brainrot, that Brainrot goes into your inventory. You can later place Brainrots in your base and they passively generate cash / income. (Destructoid)

  • Each Brainrot has a weight / size, and larger ones yield more income per second. (Destructoid)

  • There are mutations for both plants and Brainrots, giving multipliers or special effects. (Destructoid)

  • Also there are weather events / biomes that influence which mutations spawn. (Destructoid)

Plants & Their Stats

Here’s a sample list of plants and their base costs & damage. (This is not exhaustive, but gives a sense.) (Destructoid)

Watermelon $1,000,000 ~1,500
Grape $2,500,000 ~1,700
(And more advanced ones) ... ...
  • Plants may grow in different sizes and spawn with mutations, both affecting performance. (Destructoid)

  • Mutations include: Normal, Gold, Diamond, Neon, Frozen, Rainbow, Upsidedown, Underworld, Magma, Galaxy, etc., each giving multipliers or special status. (Destructoid)

Brainrots & Their Stats

  • Brainrots are invaders that your plants fight. When defeated, they become part of your collection. (Destructoid)

  • Brainrots also have mutations, size/weight, and their income (cash/sec) depends on those attributes. (Destructoid)

  • There are regular Brainrots and also fused Brainrots (combinations) with unique names. (Destructoid)

  • As an example, when a Brainrot is bigger (by weight or size), it yields more income. (Destructoid)

Mutations & Weather / Biome Events

  • Each plant / Brainrot can spawn with a mutation that affects its power or effect. (Destructoid)

  • Common mutation types:
      • Normal — 1×
      • Gold — 2×
      • Diamond — 3×
      • Neon — 4.5×
      • Frozen — 4× (plus freezing effect on hit)
      • Rainbow — 5×
      • Upsidedown — 6×
      • Underworld / Magma — ~6.5×
      • Galaxy — 7.5×
    (Destructoid)

  • Some weather events / biomes make specific mutations more likely (e.g. Frozen events spawn “Frozen” mutations). (Destructoid)

  • The current weather is shown on-screen (lower-right in UI). (Destructoid)

Tips & Strategies

  • Focus on getting high-damage plants early so you can defeat stronger Brainrots faster.

  • Try to get mutations beneficial to your strategy (e.g. “Frozen” to slow enemies).

  • Place your high-income Brainrots in your base to generate passive cash.

  • As your collection grows, invest in bigger plants / upgrades to scale.

  • Rebirthing / resets might improve your luck (some guides mention “rebirthing” affecting chances) (Destructoid)

  • Even while offline, Brainrots give income (though possibly at a reduced rate) (Destructoid)

  • There is a pity / guarantee system: a Legendary or Mythic brainrot shows up after a certain number of spawns (e.g. every 100 or 500) (Destructoid)
